A special thank you to those who have served our country in "sewing the blanket of freedom" (as Charles likes to reference his time at war), we appreciate you and your family's sacrifice.
I hope you enjoyed a nice three-day weekend. It was a special weekend for us because we had our first non-immediate family member visit Minot! Charles' cousin was on a road trip to Montana, and he passed through town to stay a couple nights with us. We enjoyed catching up and hitting up some local restaurants/ Memorial weekend BBQs. He also brought with him a lovely addition for the basement, you can see the goose pictured below. Thank you Pat Jr. for the delivery, and thank you Pat Sr. for being able to part with such a treasured piece. (FYI- the title for first non-family member to visit Minot is still up for grabs, feel free to book your tickets!)
We also made a quick trip to our friends house off the river near Bismarck, thank you Halversons for hosting!! Surprisingly, we had decent weather, so we were able to enjoy some time outside and on the boat. Molly was able to do some swimming, she was so excited to be in the water that I don't know if she ever touched land.
